I am Sean Byrne, an Irish artist working primarily in acrylic and mixed media. My paintings draw inspiration from the landscapes around me — from the coast, woodlands and bogs of Ireland to the mountains and changing light of the French Pyrenees.
My work combines traditional painting and mixed-media techniques with a longstanding interest in digital technology. These different processes allow me to explore colour, composition, texture and atmosphere, with work ranging from recognisable landscapes to increasingly abstract interpretations of the natural environment.
